Found in Orange County, Garden Grove is home to 17,883 residents as of the 2010 census. Passing through the city east to west, is the State Route 22, or Garden Grove Freeway. Garden Grove is home to the famous Strawberry Festival, held every year on Memorial Day weekend. It is one of the largest community festivals in the U.S., with an annual 250,000 visitors. The festival began in 1958 celebrating Garden Grove's past agricultural industry. They have rides, a parade and many festival foods. The city is also home to the Crystal Cathedral, a famous church building designed by American architect Philip Johnson. The Cathedral is the largest glass building in the world.
